New York Comic Con 2011 Grows to 4 Days

After hosting nearly 100,000 fans, guests, and professionals at the 2010 edition of New York Comic Con (NYCC), organizers of the annual event have decided to extend the length of the show by an extra day in 2011 in order to accommodate even more attendees as well as provide additional programming and business opportunity for the artists, creators, and exhibitors who are the foundation of the show’s success. New York Comic Con has experienced exponential growth since it was launched in 2006.

Short post but it gets the point across. I went last year and had a lot of fun and met some really good people not mention I always love visiting NY. Any of you going? any go last year?   also feel free to follow me on twitter @social_nerd

While I don't want to trash NYCC, them acquiring the Anime Festival (or however that deal went down) was disappointing. They pretty much just shoved them in a corner. I hope things are different this year. All comics should get respect, no matter their country of origin! :P

There seems to be a lack of Conventions around me. Very annoying.

I'd go if it weren't so far away =/

I'm so jealous of you Americans having things like comic-con. Us Brits never get anything like it.

I've always wanted to go. But I have to save for the world cup in brazil in 2014 (saving 3 years in advance because I'm broke). Maybe sometime in the future.

I've never gone, but I may in the future.

If I had the money, and time, to spare, I'd be there without a second thought. I do get a bit nervous being around large groups of people, but the merchandise would easily make up for it.

We don't have comic con's... only Anime conventions. It's fun, but I want to meet the person who writes Tank Girl :/

Wish we had comic cons in this country :( or at least something similar. But nope only those very very small awkward ones that I'd never consider going to.

The one thing that I have never done is go to a convention. I've always wanted to but there just isn't anything that I care that much about to go to a convention for.

Forever alone....

If I lived in America, I would go to a comic con, or any convention concerning tech or geek things.
